Dr Ritesh Arya(PhD) founder of Arya Drillers is an eminent hydrogeologist working towards the exploration and development of groundwater resources in Himalayas since 1993. He has made a sincere and dedicated effort to solve the drinking water problem on a sustainable basis in draught hit areas of the mountain states, due to which his name has featured in the GUINNESS book of WORLD RECORDs. He was the first to classify Himalayas into various Hydrostratigraphic zones and made models to explain occurrence and movement of groundwater resources in Himalayas.
Students from classes 4 to 12 were engaged in an interesting and informative session by Dr. Arya today. He shared a small part of his immense knowledge, which was anything but small. From 65 billion years to the last 100 years, students were provided with significant learning on the various stages of evolution of and on the planet Earth; of changes over millions of years, the markers, archaeological evidences that provide proof of evolution and the times gone by. From plate movements, to glacial markers to lost river civilisations, it was an eye opener for teachers too.
